Precious Metals Grant
The Trust gives an annual Precious Metals Grant to each of the 4 Scottish colleges with jewellery and silversmithing courses: Edinburgh College of Art, Glasgow School of Art, Duncan of Jordanstone at Dundee University and Cardonald College. This grant gives students the opportunity to work and experiment with silver and gold.Apprenticeship Scheme
The Trust is running a pilot apprenticeship scheme in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Funding is given to master goldsmiths who want to take on a young apprentice for a 3-year period.Free Edinburgh Assay Office Registration Scheme
The Trust supports a Free Edinburgh Assay Office Registration scheme for graduating students. This allows final year students of Jewellery and Silversmithing to register free of charge at Edinburgh Assay Office. Registering students will benefit from:Free registration
Punch manufacture at cost price (normally around £40-£50)
Their first hallmarking parcel for free
Laser artwork generated free of charge.

Archive Registration System
The Trust has funded the setting up and running of the Goldsmiths Archive Registration System . This historically significant project enables the public to access information on-line from the Incorporations record books, which date back hundreds of years.Donations
